The Northeastern Primitive Rendezvous was the thing Fred looked forward to all year long.
The NEPR, aka “Vous”, is a 10-day-long immersive gathering where people live as they might have in the 1740s to 1840s.

Set in the Northeast, it’s a place where canvas tents and tipis replace nylon, buckskins take the place of blue jeans, and the only glow at night comes from a lantern or a crackling fire.

It’s a celebration of craftsmanship, independence, and a slower, more intentional way of life.
Fred belonged there. He could often be found by the fire, swapping stories, teaching someone how to throw a tomahawk, or out on the range.

He loved the sense of community. The connection with others who valued simplicity, skill, and tradition. Waking up to the sounds of nature. Cooking over an open flame. Doing things with care and purpose.
At the Rendezvous, Fred felt most like himself.

It was a place where his values came to life – resourcefulness, generosity, and unwavering kindness. Values he lived every day, and that now live on in the people who shared those experiences with him.
